Cultural Manifestation for a New Ecology of Sound

Terraforma Exo is a new cultural manifestation produced by Threes Productions, whose first edition will take place on June 15th and 16th in Milan’s Parco Sempione. Conceived as a curatorial intervention expanding beyond enclosed venues to explore new geographies, Terraforma Exo confronts the challenges of navigating contemporary cultural landscapes by facilitating moments of deep introspection and critical thinking. The curatorial program will encompass live performances, installations, sound walks, and panel discussions featuring leading thinkers, musicians, and artists who operate within the spectrum of sound and ecology. A significant focus will be given to the ecological dimension of sound as an element capable of creatively transforming and interpreting space, opening up new ways of coexistence.

Robert Henke [Live]
+

The CBM 8032 AV project is an exploration of the beauty of simple graphics and sound, using computers from the early 1980’s. This work is about the ambivalence between a contemporary aesthetic and the usage of obsolete and limited technology from 40 years ago. Everything presented within the project could have been done already in the 1980, but it needed the cultural backdrop of today to come up with the artistic ideas driving it.

The project is created by Robert Henke and Anna Tskhovrebov

livwutang [Djset]
+

livwutang sits within a modern continuum of DJs whose sound can't be contained to one particular style or genre - she instead delivers a distinctly eclectic array of exuberant kinetics, introspective strength, & chaotic dexterity to any dancefloor she's a part of. While her style is grounded within the unifying spatial awareness of dub and the joys of dance music's renegade sound, lifelong influences from her musical upbringing are channeled into her enthralling musical vision - an enchanting sonic palette deftly maneuvering between the jubilant rhythms of Central & Western Africa, the innovative momentum of Black American music, & an expansive love of timeless vocal flourishes and earworm melodies from the last 60 years of popular music.

DJ NOBU [Djset]
+

Japan’s DJ Nobu is one of a kind; a DJ with no fixed style but instead a very real ability to draw on a wide world of music and cook up his own unique sound spaces.
Nobu is something of a cult figure for those who know with decades of experience, all of which are distilled at his acclaimed party ‘Future Terror’, his label ‘Bitta’ and his few choice production outings.
All of this has slowly but surely turned Nobu from being one of Japan’s, to one of the world’s most in demand selectors who is famously flexible and ever evolving.

15-16.06.2024
Caterina Barbieri 'Ultimo Cielo' [Sound Installation]
+

The musical vortexes of Caterina Barbieri rewire time and space. Listening to the Italian composer and modular synth artist has felt like traveling at light-speed and slow-motion all at once since 2017’s breakthrough double-album Patterns Of Consciousness. 2019’s Ecstatic Computation pushed even further with the lead single “Fantas”, where a haunting melody hurtling towards its supernova climax felt like witnessing the life and death of a burning star. Far beyond any new age trope or modern synth trend, her music stands alone in its ecstatic intensity and cataclysmic emotional impact. At Terraforma Exo, Caterina Barbieri will presents ‘Ultimo Cielo’, a captivating new track and sound installation set within Torre Branca, co-curated with Elevate Festival and supported by TIMES.
