Simposio is a format by Terraforma born in 2021. A series of multidisciplinary activities reflecting and expanding on the theoretical foundations of Terraforma. An open space for discussion–a moment dedicated to research, a reflection of the present through the lenses of contemporary practices in the sustainable realm. The aim is to address topics at the intersection of sustainability, curatorship and creativity through a series of lectures, workshops and sound interventions.
The programme of the second episode of Terraforma Simposio featured an ongoing screening of The Institute of Queer Ecology: ‘Metamorphosis’. In the early evening, a talk will take place with Chris Korda, in conversation with one of the editors of the TF Journal, presenting the latest issue of the magazine, where she is featuring. The live performance of Glacier Music (a project by Goethe Institut) with Robert Lippok, Anushka Chkheidze, Eto Gelashvili, Hayk Karoyi. Finally, Chris Korda will close the evening with a genre-bending, ambiguous tonality, rhythm, and harmony liveset.
The first episode took place over one day. Terraforma Simposio welcomed the participants with an immersive Dharma Yoga&Sound Bath by Lavinia Cometti , to be followed by a talk presented by Food Wave Project with the Milan-based vertical farm Agricola Moderna and a Salad Bar with tastings. The afternoon features a workshop by Space Caviar focusing on their latest project "Non Extractive Architecture", a round table "Taking Care of Complexities" moderated by Federico Nejrotti
of Quindi Che Fare with the philospher Emanuele Coccia, the architect Joseph Grima and Erika Maderna and a sonic evening with a live performance by Riccardo La Foresta and djsets by Jessika Khazrik and Rosa Calix.
